In Person Private Training

A flexible and effective way to start addressing the problem behaviours with your dog*. Typically, your home is where the issues occur and where dogs are in their most natural state. Meeting in person can also give us a better understanding of the home, family and environmental dynamics that can help us develop a comprehensive training plan for your goals. In person training is also useful for dog guardians to practice skills and exercises in different location with the supervision and guidance of a trainer.

Cost: $150/hour

Virtual Private Training

Virtual training is ideal for high energy, reactive or nervous dogs as we are able to work on addressing the behaviour challenges without any added stressors or excitement. Many sessions involve heavy dialogue and explanations and is a common misbelief that trainers need to see the dog in person to help the dog. We can also get started on working on exercises without the worry of the dog being too nervous, scared or excited to focus on training.

Separation Anxiety Program

Can’t leave your dog alone? There is hope!

Whether your dog’s behaviour is due to FOMO (fear of missing out), panic, or frustration, there is a solution. Our program is rooted in the science of behaviour change. Most dogs suffering from SA can learn to stay home alone without stress. We use incremental desensitization strategies to expose your dog to small absences that allow them to cope with the emotions of being without you. The program will also teach owners how to read their dog’s body language and emotional threshold to continue training if required. If you are not sure whether your dog needs this program we will determine eligibility after our mandatory initial consult.

Assessments (virtual) for separation anxiety are one hour in length and are $150.

Group Training

Group classes help you teach your dog how to behave and work around other people and dogs,

Basic Obedience- Level 1

This is where most dogs start. Suitable for for puppies, rescues and dogs with very little training experience. Starting from scratch you will learn how to communicate with your dog in a positive and rewarding manner and start building a relationship that will provide the leadership and guidance your dog needs. We will teach basic foundation cues like "sit”, “down”, “stay”, “heel”, “attention”, “leave it”, “drop it” using positive reinforcement techniques and games. We will also teach other useful life skills like loose leash walking, how to greet other dogs/people, relax on a mat and ways to build a strong recall.

  • 6 group sessions (50 minutes)

  • Max. 4 dogs

  • Location: Pack of Paws facility (105 Jefferson Ave, Toronto)
